Beer Review: Dogfish Head Festina Peche

July 18, 2014

The Peche is a patio-ready neo-Berliner Weisse fermented with peaches.

On a recent trip to Chicago, this hoppy lawyer had the chance to snag a treat from the always popular Delaware brewery, Dogfish Head. If you’re reading this, Dogfish Head, come on out to Minnesota- we’ll take you bike riding and boating and it will be lovely (at least for a few months of the year).

The Festina Peche pours light gold in color. At first sniff, you don’t notice the peach flavor within, but it will sneak up on you just before you take that first sip. The Peche is a patio-ready neo-Berliner Weisse fermented with peaches. Dry, a bit citrusy, and light on the palate, with a complex sour flavor.
