Pliny the Elder is an incredibly well-balanced double IPA and does not disappoint!
Well, I’ve had my first taste of Pliny the Elder (thanks, Chad!) and it did not disappoint. It was hoppy without being over-the-top – the hops had heavy citrus and grassy notes. The malt gave it a hint of sweetness, again, without being over-the-top . It was just an incredibly well balanced double IPA. It didn’t have that boozy quality that some double IPAs have and went down smooth. Looking forward to my next taste of Pliny the Elder (I’ll be getting my hands on a bottle in October when visiting a friend out West)!
